The characteristic of the POLY STAR tennis string was made to integrate the elastic properties of natural gut. Research objective of the former HOECHST AG was to develop a tennis string combining the advantages of synthetic and natural gut in one product. The result was the world first POLY STAR tennis string entering the market in 1981.

POLY STAR energy offers optimal control over ball acceleration combined with outstanding elasticity and longevity.

POLY STAR turbo (with star profile) optimizes topspin and slice thanks to its high-grip surface. Very good spin return.

POLY Star strike (with profiled surface) also offers optimized topspin and slice thanks to its profiled surface structure.
POLY STAR turbo and POLY STAR strike are single Monofilaments with a profiled surface, achieved by a special spinning process.
