POLY STAR Sport has been an internationally registered trademark since 1981. It was POLY STAR's founder Horst Schulze who teamed up with researchers at the former Hoechst AG to perfect the idea of the monofilament synthetic string. Under the name POLY STAR, the string soon established itself as a pioneering development on the international tennis-string market, inspiring professionals and amateurs alike.
